Information for Participants

A pdf version of the Conference Booklet is available by clicking here.

Welcome to the 12th European Feminist Research Conference 2025. We are proud to present a vibrant programme of feminist theory and gender studies research, and look forward to welcoming you in Barcelona.

In this Conference Booklet, we outline practical information and guidance for the conference, along with our Participation Guidelines.

This is the first year ATGENDER has introduced Participation Guidelines for our conferences. Additionally, while the Participation Guidelines immediately apply, we are also introducing a Code of Ethics, available on the ATGENDER website (here), to be presented at the ATGENDER Gender Assembly (held on the final day of the conference). In doing so, we hope we can work together as organisers and participants to provide welcoming and inclusive conference and event environments, now and in the future.

We thank you for your careful attention and consideration of the guidelines presented, and look forward to a great conference!

Warm wishes,

The ATGENDER Board and the Local EFRC Organizing Team

If you need help from a conference organizer, please look for colleagues wearing a purple ribbon on their wrist or conference badge. We will be happy to help!

About the conference gift, artwork, and organizations to support

The conference artwork, commissioned by ATGENDER, was created by Shatha Safi in collaboration with Dima Akram, founder of Centro Montanha de Azeitonas, Lisbon, which represents Palestinian artists both in Palestine and the diaspora. For more information on Shatha, Dima, and Centro Montanha de Azeitonas's work, see our website: https://www.atgenderconference.org/conference-artwork

The conference gift is made by Fundación de Solidaridad Amaranta (the Amaranta Solidarity Foundation), a non-profit foundation created by the Adoratrices Sisters in 2006. Fundación de Solidaridad Amaranta supports social integration processes with a gender and human rights approach for women and children who are victims of gender-based violence such as trafficking, sexual exploitation and/or domestic violence. You can read more about Fundación de Solidaridad Amaranta’s work on their website: https://www.fundacionamaranta.org/

Organizations to support: ATGENDER encourages contributions to the European Legal Support Center (ELSC). ELSC provide free legal advice and assistance to associations, human rights NGOS, and groups and individuals advocating for Palestinian rights in mainland Europe and Britain. ELSC have provided support to ATGENDER in recent years, and we encourage conference participants to consider donating to support ELSC’s important work. You can read more about ELSC’s work and donate here: https://elsc.support/donate/
